How to Read Ecostar ECO Burner Model Codes
What the symbols in Ecostar ECO burner names mean: body size, fuel type, power stages and range. Example: ECO 45 O(S) C3b.
The model name of an ECO burner encodes its size, fuel and control type. Below is a breakdown of the codes according to the manufacturer's catalogue.
Example: ECO 45 O(S) C3b
- ECO — the brand and burner series.
- 45 — body size (higher numbers are larger burners).
- O(S) — a burner for liquid fuel; the letter in brackets indicates the type of oil (S — heavy fuel oil, L — light).
- C3 — modulating operation. The digit is the number of power stages: 1 — one stage, 2 — two stages, 3 — modulation. The letter C denotes the version with a 2,800 rpm fan motor.
- b — a power-range variant within the same size (a, b…).
Fuel letters
- G — a gas burner.
- O — an oil burner.
- K — dual-fuel version (gas + oil); an additional code indicates light or heavy oil.
Note
Codes may vary between series and catalogue years. When enquiring, it is best to give the full name from the nameplate — we can then confirm the parameters and parts availability. Power ranges for individual models are on the gas burners and oil burners pages.
Send us the data from the boiler or furnace nameplate — we will size the burner.
