Ecostar oil burners.
Burners for heavy and light fuel oil for boilers and furnaces. Oil preheater, fuel pump, one-stage, two-stage and modulating operation. Heavy oil from 90 kW to 11.5 MW.
An oil burner works well wherever there is no gas connection, or where independence from a gas supplier is needed. It does, however, call for careful adjustment and regular servicing of the nozzles, pumps and electrodes.
How a heavy-oil burner works
Heavy fuel oil is too viscous to atomise at ambient temperature. In ECO burners, an electric preheater raises the oil to up to 135 °C, a pump raises the pressure to 18–25 bar, and the fuel is mechanically atomised at the nozzle. Thermostats monitor the oil temperature, and solenoid valves cut off the fuel supply without dripping.
Equipment of ECO oil burners (per the manufacturer's catalogue)
- Air-damper servo motor — simultaneous damper movement and precise air control.
- IP56-rated control panel for operation in demanding conditions.
- Adjustable mounting flange making it easier to fit the burner to the boiler.
- Lightweight aluminium fan housing and an air-intake design that reduces noise.
In modulating models the manufacturer uses a return-oil control valve in the lance, giving a wide power-turndown range with good atomisation.
